Custom Suits & Custom Clothing

From suiting and sport coats to shirts, jeans, and leather jackets, every piece begins with a conversation and ends with a fit that’s entirely your own.

For unique colors, patterns, or materials, or when standard sizing simply doesn’t do your frame justice, custom delivers a fit that’s built, not adjusted, for you.

First time making a custom suit?

HERE’S WHAT TO EXPECT

Fabric & Lining

You select from a curated library of premium wools, silks, cottons, linens, and blends — then finish it with a lining that reflects your personality.

Details & Styling

Every element is yours to define: lapel, stitching, buttons, pocketing, trim, and more. Bring inspiration photos if there’s a look or fit you’d like to capture.

Measure Up

We take nearly a dozen personalized measurements to ensure your garment fits your frame, posture, and proportions perfectly. You can expect your first fitting 4–6 weeks after measuring.

Fit & Finish

Sleeves and hems are left unfinished so our tailors can perfect the fit once you’ve tried your suit on. Expect one or two fittings before leaving with your finished garment.

Understanding Custom

They all sound like “custom,” but they’re not. Here’s what bespoke, made-to-measure, and tailored really mean.

Bespoke

More than a suit, it’s a full experience. Several fittings, pattern-making from scratch, and a tailor’s hand at every stage. It’s time-intensive and skill-driven — months in production, not weeks — but the result is a garment that’s truly one of one.

Made-to-Measure

The most common form of custom suiting — refined, efficient, and fully personalized. Your measurements are applied to our proprietary Onore pattern and adjusted according to your proportions and preferences. A white-glove process that offers the precision of bespoke with fewer fittings and a faster turnaround.

A Tailored Suit

While every suit at Onore passes through our tailor shop for refinement, a tailored suit is not a custom suit. It begins as a ready-to-wear garment that’s then marked, pinned, and altered to your preferred fit. Ideal for those who fall within standard sizing, it offers an impeccable finish with a 2-3 week turnaround.

The Anatomy of a Garment

Cut, make, and trim maketh the suit — but it’s what’s inside that counts. Understanding canvas and supers helps you become a more informed buyer and deepens your appreciation for lasting craftsmanship.

CANVAS

The canvas is the internal layer between a suit jacket’s outer shell and lining. Traditionally made from horsehair, it maintains the structure and shape of the chest over years of wear. A suit can feature a full canvas or a half-canvas chest piece, depending on the level of structure desired. Some garments replace this with fusing — a mesh material that glues the shell to the lining. Fused construction breaks down with cleaning and time, compromising both shape and longevity.

SUPERS

“Supers” refer to the fineness of the wool used in suiting fabrics. The higher the number, the finer and softer the fiber, and the more delicate the weave. At Onore, we recommend staying within Super 120 to 130 — the perfect balance of softness, comfort, and durability. Anything higher feels incredible, but should be reserved for special-occasion wear to give it longer life.
